I love dogs, and this poem too. I love the line which said; "they gaze at me as a child does to his mother." Keep doing more poetry because you are good at it.
Love the name:) I reminds me of that song: "Course well my brindle hound and fetch me the mountain hare..." I like the last line. It is a good twist.
